As the year comes to a close and the holiday season wraps us in its warmth, we at Kraig Biocraft Laboratories want to take a moment to reflect on 2024—a year that will be remembered as a true turning point in our journey.

This year, we achieved what many thought impossible: the successful transition from innovation to production, unlocking the full potential of spider silk as a game-changing material. The introduction of our BAM-1 production hybrids was nothing short of transformative, propelling us into large-scale, sustainable spider silk manufacturing for the very first time.

In 2024, we produced over 1,200 pounds of recombinant spider silk cocoons—more material than we generated in all previous years combined. In fact, the last six months alone marked an incredible surge in production, with BAM-1 hybrids doubling cocoon size and silk yield. Each cycle brought stronger, healthier silkworms, bigger cocoons, and better results. As we enter this holiday season and reflect on the year behind us, I am filled with a sense of profound joy as we share these accomplishments together.

What we achieved this year is more than just numbers—it’s proof that perseverance, innovation, and teamwork can move mountains. It’s the culmination of years of dedication, and yet it feels like only the beginning. In 2025, we anticipate producing multiple tons of finished spider silk yarn, and firmly establishing Kraig Labs as the world leader in recombinant spider silk.

Beyond production, we’ve laid the groundwork for commercialization. We are entering 2025 ready to introduce our first offerings in luxury fashion and performance textiles, markets that are hungry for innovation and differentiation. The opportunity ahead is immense, and we couldn’t be more excited to see spider silk woven into products that inspire, protect, and perform.

On the science front, our molecular biology team delivered outstanding progress, creating advanced transgenic silkworm strains producing new fibers that the world has never seen before. We’ve had a series of significant breakthroughs in the lab under the leadership of our new head of molecular biology here at Kraig Labs. I look forward to introducing her to you, our shareholders and unveiling the new transgenics our team has created over these last few months. These developments are paving the way for even stronger, more versatile materials, ensuring that our leadership in spider silk technology will endure well into the future.

2024 was a year of breakthroughs, of milestones reached, and records set. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, but most importantly, we’re grateful—for our team, our partners, and for you, our loyal shareholders and supporters. Without your belief in our vision and your patience through every challenge we’ve overcome, none of this would be possible.
